Each year the Council holds oversight hearings to do a deep dive and ensure DC agencies are doing their jobs effectively and meeting residents’ needs. You can testify in person (aka “Live testimony) or you can submit written testimony (aka “Record testimony”). To sign up, just click on the hearing link below and click the “Submit Testimony” button. Online registration for each hearing will close 2 business days before the hearing. If you prefer not to register online, you may contact the Housing Committee at housing@dccouncil.gov or 202-727-8270.
Witnesses who anticipate needing spoken language interpretation or require closed captioning are requested to inform the committee conducting the hearing of the need as soon as possible but no later than five (5) business days before the proceeding. The committee will make every effort to fulfill timely requests; however, requests received in less than five (5) business days may not be fulfilled and alternatives may be offered.
